Word Processing

Open a word processing program
Use open to locate an existing document
Select and change font and point size from the tool bar
Enter text
Delete/Backspace text
Insert text.
Use Save As and Save (to the hard drive)
Close program

Multimedia

Open a multimedia program
Open an existing project
Explore toolbar
Create a simple project on one slide/screen/page/card (terminology will be determined by program)
Understand use of tools – pencil, pen, spray can, paint bucket
Ability to change thickness of tool
Use of paint bucket to fill an object/graphic with color
Use of various text options (textbox, pen, pencil, spray can)
Stamp graphics
Save a project
Close a multimedia program

Research and Communications

Define the Internet (Age-Appropriate Language)
View Web Pages with teacher and classmates
Open Browser
Sign and return the Acceptable Use Policy (Student explanation should be age-appropriate)
