APRIL NEWS
We are hopping into spring and learning new skills. Here are some things we will be learning!!!
In math, we have been flying through the chapters. We are finishing up equal shares. Then, we will be moving on to money and time. Of course, adding and subtracting are done and reviewed every day.
Fundations (Phonics): We are finishing up Unit 10. Unit 11 will introduce vowel-consonant e. We will continue tapping (sounding out) words, sentence structure, diagraphs, bonus letters, glued sounds, suffixes, blends, and closed syllables.
In ELA, we have started Unit 5. We will continue with different kinds of sentences, nouns, proper nouns, verbs, and adjectives. We will also continue to review contractions, compound words, and pronouns. Please continue to review skills, spelling, and vocabulary in their study book.
Religion, we are continuing working on Unit 4: We Celebrate and Live Our Faith. We continue to work on prayers.
1st grade is getting closer to hopping into summer!!!!
