The 6th grade curriculum covers skills required for reading comprehension through short stories and novel studies as well as non-fiction text, vocabulary acquisition, review of grammar concepts and implmentation into writing, short- and long-form writing pieces, and listening and speaking. The materials and lesson follow the guidelines from the Common Core Standards selected by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Education.
